Training magazine awarded us their Training Top 125 Award, which recognizes organizations with the most successful learning and development programs in the world. This prestigious honor went to our engaging and innovative competition, the Services Team Annual Recognition (STAR) program.
After Ricoh Services employees participate in comprehensive training programs, top performers move on to a live competition called the Main Event. Through role-playing and hands-on testing, the Main Event assesses customer skills/interactions, teamwork, functional skills and company knowledge. The best of the best win an elite trip to an exciting destination — a different location each year. The STAR Program is an innovative approach to measuring the professional skills of our services employees, helping us achieve our goal of maximizing your customer experience and making it easy to do business with us.

We are the 2016 recipient of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) RISE Meetings Impact Award, based on the successful planning and execution of our seven Regional Services Leadership Symposiums that were held across the country in 2015. Through the symposiums, we brought together more than 700 leaders from our expanded Managed and Technology Services group. Using the theme IGNITE (Innovate. Grow. Nurture. Inspire. Transform. Evolve.), each event included three days of general sessions, cross-functional breakout sessions, a team-building event and an innovation showroom featuring our latest technologies.
Bob Lamendola, General Manager of Infrastructure Services at mindSHIFT, was named one of the 2016 Premier 100 Technology Leaders by Computerworld. This year’s Premier 100 spotlights 100 leaders from both the technology and business sides of companies for their exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges. Lamendola was recognized for his efforts in enabling our transformation to a services and solutions-led organization.
The Deming Award recognizes corporations and individuals who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to quality control, and whose products or inventions make exceptional advances in the pursuit of quality. Less than 100 select companies have won the Deming Award. Ricoh was the first office equipment manufacturer to win one — and today, we’re the only such company to have won two. The criteria include corporate policy, quality systems, education and training, results and future plans.
