Current Color Copier per page rates?

I am just coming out of a 3 year contract.

Monthly, we print about 15,000 Color pages and 12,000 B&W pages.

What is the current going rate for a per page maintenance plan, including supplies?

They are offering $0.045/color page and $0.008/B&W page.

I will be negotiating, but wonder how low I should go.

Some more information might be needed. What model of copier are you leasing? PPM will affect the costs.

I’m using Ricoh’s Aficio MPC 3300’s. My rates are 24K B/W included. Overage at .01/impression. No color included. Billed at .065/impression.

By the looks of those numbers I need to find out who you are using!

Was using Sharp AR-450.

Now looking at Kyocera 650C

Its a local company in Massachusetts. They are above average supporting the Sharp.

Think also about how quickly they fix your printers when they break. We had terrible trouble with HP in our area, and although they were competitive in price, it wasn’t worth the headache in keeping them.

About 2 1/2 years ago I checked out several manufacturers & the rates varied between $0.075 and $0.045 per color page, (at that time I was not worried about B&W printing since we have a high speed/capacity B&W printer.) Since then there have been many consumer improvements in the “click” charge.

Our contract click charge is based on 8.5 x 11, yet I have heard in the past year many contracts will not include 11 x 17 as 1 click, and not 2 as our contract was written.

Another new feature that many vendors are now doing is that if you have a small percentage of color, (company logo, etc.) on a page, they will charge you for a black click & not color.

I would like to caution you that you do not base your decision only of the cost per page. Also look into the reliability of the machine, and make sure that it can stand up to your usage. A machine that is constantly breaking down will cost you alot more in wasted man hours. (We found out the hard way.)

We have a Konica 550. The first 15,000 color copies are included in our contract & we pay $0.05/page overage. B&W is $0.015/page.

Hello, we have 2 new Konica machines and are shopping for rates. we are in MA, our current provider is charging us 8 cents for color and 1.26 cents for BW. Does anyone have suggestion for companies or better rates in the MA area?
